Sapna Choudhary: The Lucknow court issued a non-bailable warrant against Haryanvi dancer Sapna Choudhary on August 23. Sapna Choudhary is accused of cancelling a program even after making an advance payment and did not refund the money to the ticket takers. Sapna was to appear in court on the last date, but she did not come and neither did her lawyer file any exemption petition. Therefore, the court issued a non-bailable warrant against Sapna Choudhary. And now Sapna Choudhary and the other four are accused under 406 and 420 of cheating.

Sapna Choudhary Accused of Cheating

The latest update on this case is that charges have been framed against Sapna Choudhary and the other four accused under 406 and 420 for cheating including the Indian penal code. The next hearing in this matter will be held on December 12. Last Friday, all the accused including Sapna were present before the court.

Case of 2018: Details

For the uninitiated, Sub-Inspector Firoz Khan lodged an FIR against Sapna Choudhary on this issue on 14 October 2018 at Ashiana police station in Lucknow. Apart from Sapna Choudhary, the names of the organizers of the event Junaid Ahmed, Naveen Sharma, Iwad Ali, Amit Pandey, and Ratnakar Upadhyay are also registered in the FIR. A dance program was to be organized in Smriti Upvan from 3 to 10 pm on 13 October 2018. But as she did not appear it eventually got cancelled. And now she is paying for this.
